This is a coffee house dive.  I would soak up its delightful vibe all the time if I could.

Arts and Crafts on the 3rd Saturday of the month - some great people there with cool stuff!  Steampunk, lovely BEADWORK jewelry, second hand Tupperware (I got a pickle keeper!!!!) and other misc artish things.

The coffee was super delicious.  The upstairs has a nice acoustic guitar for the playin', and a couple couchy areas.  There's a table for art or 'puterin, or for meetin up with a Buffy fanclub, which was about to happen while we were there.  The place is kind of like being in your best friend's basement during the 70's, except unfortunately, no neon beer signs or "5 minutes in the closet" games going on.  The walls are undulating and cobbled together with narrow pieces of panelling.  It's homely and cosy.

What a nice place.  There's beer and stuff too.  Maybe next time I'm there I'll try some of that.

Waited for around 20 minutes.  No service at all, so my friend and I just left.
Got a few glares, but that's about it.

I don't get why people like it here.  Everyone just seemed extremely pretentious.

Great coffee and pretty decent breakfast sandwich... stopped by here to fuel up before work. It seems like they had a lot of music on the playlist, but the bartender/server/barista seemed to be on a Johnny Thunders kick this morning. I guess if that's OK with the regulars, it's fine by me. Oh yeah, I hear they have live music too.

A great neighborhood bar in the Ravenna area. Coffee, beer, wifi, snacks, walls filled with art, live music, interesting people, awesome times.

There aren't a lot of bars I would feel comfortable hanging out in by myself, but this is definitely one of them. Plenty of space to cozy up with a laptop or book, in one of the back or side rooms, but the staff and regulars are friendly and I always feel welcome sitting at the bar and chatting.

This was my first time at Cafe Racer. My boyfriend and I both got the incredible wonder wiener which was delicious! Bacon, cream cheese and green chilies, now that's a dog I can fall in love with. I liked the atmosphere a lot, very eclectic and cozy. The bartender/cook seemed really nice. I cant wait to come back and try something else.

I consider this place an extension of my living room.  It seems to attract an eclectic mix of interesting people.  I have made several friends there over the past few years.  Full bar, decent food menu, and great brunch on the weekends.  Fresh homemade cookies and/or dessert type of items often available, and live music on most if not every night.  Biker friendly and dog friendly.

"I can't really tell if they're hipster or scuzzy" = perfect description of Cafe Racer by a former resident of the Cafe Racer neighbourhood, better known as my friend Kristina. Weirdly, my best friend, close friends, and boyfriend all lived together in very close proximity to Cafe Racer and I've been passing it by very regularly for the past 2-ish years, always wondering if I'd like it. We finally went in on Friday night after die BierStube had absolutely nowhere to sit. The Racer had just cleared out after some live music and was relatively empty so we were able to grab a drink and hang out for a while. The bartender was incredibly friendly and patient and the people at the bar seemed like easygoing, happy regulars. The atmosphere was a little calmer than I would have liked, but that was understandable as they had just finished with a show not too long before we came in. I went back today to grab a latte and was impressed that the coffee smelled and tasted delicious! I'm so glad to finally have walked into this place-- I'll definitely be coming more often now. :)

My new favorite place for breakfast. Not only is the waitress psychic (yes, now is exactly when I want to pay) but the food is good and prices are reasonable. The coffee is great and there is the best Vespa in the world just inside the door... Blingy doesn't begin to describe it.  The food is not fast but it's not slow either... Completely reasonable amout of time for a great breakfast.

Cafe Racer Espresso serves good drinks and the beer comes in a nice range of price points. I usually like drinking a cheap beer or two there while watching a band play a free show inside the cafe. Most all of the art that hangs on the walls of Cafe Racer tends to be visually bold in one way or another, and even though I do get the feeling that  the bold art is something which continues to be part of the customer appeal the place has, I think I personally prefer to relax in the chill upstairs portion of the cafe or at the bar itself rather than getting my eyes distractedly affixed on studying one bold piece of art to the next.

Awesome bar. Great beers on draught. Good prices for the u-district. Free music often. Only complaint is the outright rude, unprofessional female bartender with animal tattoos. She should've lost her job after how she treated myself and numerous other patrons one evening. Other than this deficiency, Cafe Racer is highly recommended! Especially when Operation ID is playing! Enjoy!
