We went here due to the location and suggestions from locals.
The food is not the emphasis at the Pink Door. The ambiance is awesome and the  location, charismatic  waiters, quirky decor,  musicians, performers  and unsurpassed view overlooking Seattle's sound, are the obvious attractions and reasons  for  Pink Door's success. The food is fresh and fresh fish and vegetables are served from Pike's Market. It is supposed to be Italian but it is really New American with Italian American accents. But is is fresh! I really don't remember the food very well but I do remember the ambiance and I will go here again if we are fortunate enough to be in Seattle again.
I can't tell you how great the ambiance was and how enjoyable it was to dine here. 4 stars for the ambiance alone! The location is great if you are a tourist and staying near by!

Excellent atmosphere, music, food, service...everything you could ask for.  A favorite of mine.

4 Stars for the room which is very nice to be in. Food was a bit hit and miss. A touch too much, I guess this could be the theme of the restaurant with the entertainment etc. Lovely room though. One of the best places to sit that I've been to for dinner recently. Very sparkly and twinkly and a bit Christmasy. Feels special. Food was decent Italian/American: Salad too many cranberries, touch too sweet, sausages dry-- but overall the setting overshadowed the food for a nice hour and a half out.

Amazing place with a lovely view outside for dinner. It's hidden in an alley. Pretty cool. And the food was delish.

$$$ food at a $$ price.  Make sure to go on a Sunday or Monday to catch the show.

Saturday night there is a live show for which you have to make in person reservations (starting at 9pm) I was there 850pm and was first in line. Apparently some of hostess' friends came by, we got the worse table you could not see the stage, and they got the best table in front of the stage. When I asked if we could have a better table (lots of open tables at this time) I was turned down because they all were reserved....

What is it? can you make reservations by phone before 9pm, or they only take reservations when in person and after 9pm.....
Too bad it used to be a great place, but not anymore. They are a "hot" place but their service is horrible!
We did get to have some drinks at the bar and I had much better at the Frontier Room; to go to the bathroom you need a code, no kidding!

Did i mention that their service is horrible and the hostess that 'only' takes reservations for the live show after 9pm is a liar and rude?

It was Very good, a little hard to find..but worth the hunt. I think they did a great job decorating. We tried the meatball sliders (which were surprisingly good), and split the lasagna, which I thought was going to be better since that was all the rave on yelp and the menu, i got a free glass of wine worth 8$ for 'checking in' on yelp!, which was another unexpected perk! There is sadly no view of anything unless your sitting outside(there are no heaters out there)- I think they should invest in some! Also, the price was a little high (55$ for 2 people) for lunch.. They have trapeze artists that preform, but we did not see any. We may go back in the summer when we can sit outside!

Utterly disappointed. I don't see how anyone on here could be giving this place more than three stars at best. They must be getting paid to do so.

1. It's very difficult to actually find.
2. The menu is very un-clear(for those who don't speak the language).
3. the service was awful (rude, condescending, un-attentive, etc...)
4. The food was way over priced for both the quality and the quantity.
5. The atmosphere was bland.

I could seriously keep going but if what's been listed doesn't stop you I don't know what will. Don't listen to the fools who rated this place 5.

My fiance proposed to me here!!!! :-)

That's not the only reason I'm a fan, of course.

The rabbit and the lasagna are to die for. We also got the prosciutto and mozzarella appetizer, which was delicious. We had dessert as well, which I'm having a brainfart on (we went back in November). Everything was amazing- the food, service, and the atmosphere. I wish the trapeze artist would have been there that night!

The place was pretty packed when my fiance proposed to me. A group of guys at the table next to us took a picture of us and got my fiance's email address to send to us, but we never got the picture unfortunately :-(

In any case, I can't wait to go back here!

Probably my favorite place in town because of the ambiance and the usually entertaining, pleasant waiters/waitresses. I love the decor, then entertainment, even the design of the menu/business cards, the type face - oh yes, and the food and drinks, of course. Whenever we have visitors from abroad, we always take them here, and, so far, everybody loved it!
